Welcome, Fly-Inn Family! If you’re pointing the nose toward southwest Missouri, this is one of those satisfying, low-stress arrivals pilots appreciate. The approach into Kingsley Airfield (MO9) is classic Ozarks flying—open farmland, rolling green terrain, wide horizons, and plenty of breathing room. MO9 features a paved 3,119′ runway with ample parking, making it a comfortable stop for cross-country travelers and a great place to stretch your wings before the next leg.
🏡 A Perfect Cross-Country Rest Stop in the Ozarks
Tucked away in the southwest corner of Missouri—about 30 minutes west of Springfield and just a few miles off Old Route 66—this location is ideal for pilots who like their overnights easy, friendly, and memorable. You’ll be staying right on a 4,000-acre working farm, giving you space to roam, relax, and reset between flights 🌾🌤️.
🪂 Aviation, Adventure & Front-Row Seats to the Action
Right next door is the Ozarks Skydive Center, where beautiful days mean skydivers testing gravity while pilots apply Bernoulli’s principle ✈️🪂. Weather permitting, you can even book a plane ride or hot air balloon ride, adding a little extra magic to your stay 🎈. The on-site Hangar Kafe serves up delicious meals with indoor seating and a large outdoor patio, perfect for watching aircraft, jump ops, and sometimes even the Kansas National Guard CH-47 Chinook helicopters dropping in for breakfast 🚁🥓.
🚐 Flexible Stays for Pilots & Crew
Flying in? Fuel up, park with ease, and unwind. Driving in or bringing an RV? There’s an RV park with full hookups available. Prefer a room? Three rooms are available for rent, and you can explore additional options through our other listings on Fly-Inn.com.
