Pilots, this one’s for you—land at the airport and stay here! Casa de Aero is all about wide-open Texas horizons, desert sunsets, and unforgettable family memories. Set near Terlingua, you’ll wake to rugged mountain views, endless sky, and that unmistakable West Texas calm that makes every arrival feel special. Spend your days exploring Big Bend National Park and Big Bend Ranch State Park, hiking dramatic canyons, stargazing under some of the darkest skies in Texas, rafting the Rio Grande, or enjoying Terlingua’s legendary food, coffee shops, live music, and local character. 🌄🌞🌌
Amazing views and unforgettable memories await on the 9×20 ft deck, where sunrise coffee and sunset grilling become daily rituals. The main casita is cozy and perfect for 2 guests, or can sleep 2 adults in separate beds—and even up to 2 couples if you know each other well. The main bed is a double, and the sleeper couch is also double size.
PLEASE LET US KNOW if you’ll need the sofa bed made or if you wish to book the additional casita. For larger groups, we offer a small additional casita with two twin beds—ideal for accommodating more than 4 guests. If used, expect an additional $35 cleaning fee, plus $15 per person over 2.
Casa de Aero features a separate shower house just outside the entry door, including a closed indoor shower and a private outdoor shower with mountain views
🚿🏔️. There’s a gas grill with side burner for cooking 🍔🔥, Wi-Fi, city water, and friendly local advice on the best places to see. We’re located approximately 7 miles from the West Park entrance, making day trips easy and scenic. Terlingua also offers restaurants, coffee shops, grocery stores, and entertainment, and we highly recommend visiting the state park for jaw-dropping desert landscapes.
Guest Access & Extra Casita Details:
If booking the additional casita, it includes a refrigerator, microwave, air conditioner, and closet. There is no potty or running water in the small casita. It has two twin beds and is located just across the parking lot (about 30 ft). 🚶♂️
Good to Know:
There are three rentals on the property—Pixie, Casa de Aero, and Terlingua Longhorn—which is perfect if you’re traveling with a larger party and can line up dates across all three. While we do everything possible to respect your privacy, please note your casita is across the parking lot from our house. If you’re planning to explore farther afield, rent the Jeep—contact us and we’ll provide all the details. 🚙🌵

Short-term stays
Guests receive a full refund if they cancel 72 hours or more before the scheduled check-in time. The Host doesn’t get paid for the booking.
If the Guest cancels after the check-in time, the Host will be paid for each night the Guest does stay, plus 1 additional night, plus 50% for all additional nights the Guest did not stay.
Long-term stays (28+ nights)
Guests receive a full refund if they cancel 28 days or more before the scheduled check-in time. The Host doesn’t get paid for the booking.
If the Guest cancels after the 28-days-prior point, the Host will be paid 100% for each night the Guest does stay, plus 50% of 30 additional, unused nights. The Host is paid 100% for all of the remaining nights if fewer than 30 unused nights are left on the reservation when the Guest cancels (to a maximum of the equivalent of 50% of 30 nights).
